I wasn’t going to do this, but then someone messaged me how much they respected my opinion. I realized that I have to speak my heart. Even if it makes people angry. So, here goes.
You go to the doctor for a well-visit. When your doctor suggests you need a medicine for your blood pressure, even though you feel fine, you take the prescription. Your doctor tells you high blood pressure puts you at risk for a heart attack. So, you follow her/his advice, and you fill the prescription.
Do you search the ingredients of the pill? Do you tell your doctor “no way, I don’t know what’s in that pill!
No. You trust your physician. The professional. You take the blood pressure medicine per your doctor’s advice and knowledge, backed by research, that hypertension can lead to heart attack or stroke.
When you have chest pain, you go to the emergency room. You let them do whatever they need to do to save your life. You trust the doctors, nurses, and yes, the creators of medications to save you.
Let’s say you’re a Christian. Do you not go to the ER when you have chest pain? Or do you not take the advice of your doctor to start a BP med? Do you say, “God will protect me from heart attack and stroke. I’m not falling for this false narrative.”
No. You trust your doctor. You trust the hospital. You trust medicine. No one questions your faith in Jesus when you get an emergency appendectomy instead of asking for a healing at the altar.
What changed in 2020?
Social media. False information. The perfect storm created by a huge, scary pandemic. When people are afraid, feel out of control of protecting themselves and their families, and are under pressure emotionally and financially, they become open to whatever will help them regain balance or control. If we can blame someone else, make something less frightening, and divert attention from the thing that actually frightens us, to something else, we jump on it. For example, Covid isn’t bad; The Left is bad. Ok, Covid is real, but it’s really a problem with immigration. Masks aren’t preventing the spread (even though operating room staff have used them for many years to prevent the spread of germs), it’s just a way for rights to be taken away.
Instead of focusing on the sanctity of ALL human life, we focus on statistics that fit our opinion.
Let’s say, Covid 19 is only fatal .1% of the time (a number I just made up, because youtubers do it all the time). Now let’s look at a real statistic… you have a 0.0002% chance of getting struck by lightning. Are you going to swim in a thunderstorm? Or go stand on the golf course with your club raised high during lightning? Why not?! The chances are really slim you’ll get struck!
It’s because you’re not an idiot. You do what you need to do to avoid getting struck by lightning.
You go to your annual well visit with your primary care doctor, and even get your prostate checked.
You get your child vaccinated against polio.
You wear seatbelts even though you’re a really great driver.
If you’re a Christian you have faith in God to save you, but you also understand you don’t walk out in front of oncoming traffic. That would be dumb to put Him to the test like that. You might just find yourself waking up to Jesus smiling and saying, “wow, Bill, I really can’t believe you did that. Didn’t you appreciate the vessel I gave you for my purposes on earth?”
And I can’t help but wonder if right now Jesus is asking some of us, “don’t you appreciate the vessel of your neighbor?”
That’s all I got for now, guys. I’m exhausted. I’m tired of working my buns off in the critical care unit to save people who my experience thus far with Covid shows me, won’t get better! 😭 It’s devastating. I’m tired of seeing more and more prayer requests come across my newsfeed for healing from Covid. It’s not that I’m against healing or praying. It’s that I hate this is still a thing! I truly believe better vaccination rates would have made this not the issue Delta is right now. There, I said it.
We trust science thus far, until this, and I just can’t wrap my head around it! I love Jesus more than anything, but I believe His Father created humans with the knowledge to create medicine and save lives. When we live longer, we can reach more people with His love and truth. Believing in medicine isn’t saying you lack faith; it’s actually a belief in the wisdom and knowledge that God has given mankind. Thank you, Lord. That’s why I’m a nurse. Life and death is in His hands, but sometimes He uses me to keep life going. What a gift!
So, I pray you will take my advice. I am consistently praying in the Spirit, and listening for His truth. There is not one, single day that goes by that I don’t seek His will and listen for His heart. I took the vaccine without a moment’s hesitation. In fact, I cried happy tears when I got it. Thank you, Lord, for giving scientist the knowledge to help us fight this virus!
Do with this information what you will. Not sure I’ll say much else about it. I’m just too tired. Lies are so much easier to believe than truth.

As a fellow ITU nurse, suffering with PTSD, anxiety and the fallout post-trauma; I thank you. I find this topic so difficult and traumatic now, I often fail at words for any of it. My two closest family members have gone down some major conspiracy routes, and it makes it that much more painful after the year fought holding terrified hands, saying silent prayers for patients and their relatives and sobbing on your drive home from work, when you get told that it’s a lie, that I’ve taken a vaccine that will precipitate the end times. I thank you for saying these words. I thank you for your voice. I thank you for your voice where mine has failed. Be blessed ❤️ X
Thank you. I can completely relate to everything you’ve said!

You lost me right at the beginning of your statements.
Yes, I actually do research what is in my pills before I take them. I don’t take medication simply because a doctor prescribes it. I am very aware of how little pharmaceutical training doctors receive, And how little time they have to keep up with the latest pharma. They tend to prescribe meds that they are familiar with, not necessarily the best 9nes for your condition.
Thank you Brie! Be safe.
Thank you ☺️
I will not vaccinate. I’ve been a nurse for 20 plus years. As far as I’m concerned we are completely treating this all wrong. This isn’t about politics to me at all. I listened to a team of scholarly physicians and scientist talk just this week about the vaccine and Covid and that a vaccine isn’t the answer. Early treatment before they reach you in the ICU is the answer. I will not be injected with aborted fetal cells. All of the vaccines have it! I agree that science is the answer. I am respectfully going to completely disagree. I also pray for clarity for all and better unity. In my opinion the delta variant exists because now the vaccine that has been given is similar to getting an old out of date flu vaccine. It does no good. Viruses mutate, that’s what they do. It isn’t anyone’s fault. They always have. They always will. I see tons of vaccinated people with positive delta cases here.
I completely respect your opinion. I do disagree about the injected aborted fetal cells. Moderna and Phizer don’t even utilize fetal cell technology. So not only are they not actual fetal cells, but not even vaccine technology that has been based on fetal cell research (like J&J). Sometimes false information gets out there and sounds very convincing. Even videos of well-meaning physicians.
I think when you are a hammer everything looks like a nail. By the time they get to you in the ICU it is very grim. I respect you as well. There are many highly disputed things in the vaccines. I absolutely believe Covid is a huge problem. I just do not agree that a vaccine is the answer. I would love to see the proof of the lack of fetal cells. I spoke with an attorney last week who confirmed this. I have looked at both sides and I consider myself open minded.
I should clarify, all the vaccines were at least tested using fetal cells. I have many many issues with the vaccine. That is just one of many. In my research I did learn that many vaccines are developed this way. I have learned a lot about vaccines and otherwise. I am not bullying to others who want to vaccinate. I just disagree that low vaccine rates are the cause of variants. Why are the vaccinated coming in in droves? I am not asking you to answer that, just in general it doesn’t make sense. I think as nurses we could agree that we are absolutely sick of this and we hate seeing people suffer.
Absolutely. God bless you.

Angie, I am also a nurse and the majority of our Covid positive patients have been vaccinated! Vaccinated or not, Covid is, once again, a big concern for us all.

Hi Brie, I really appreciate you and your blogs and all you do as a nurse – my daughter is a nurse too, so was my mother and my father was a doctor – so I know how things are.
I have spent a lot of time looking into this and listening to both sides – something that is difficult to do because one side is so heavily promoted. I, like you, pray for guidance and am totally open to the Lord saying I should do something different to what I am doing at the moment.
From what I can see there are many bona fide doctors, many of whom are Christians, who are standing out to promote Ivermectin + other supplements as they are seeing it actually cure the many patients they are treating. They cannot understand why they are being vilified and turned into ‘quacks’, despite working as doctors for many years. For me, that puts up red flags for a start. Why would fully qualified doctors put their careers at risk to tell us that they have found something that has been working well for them? It makes no sense. These include Dr Pierre Kory, Dr Joseph Varon and Dr Ryan Cole to name but a few.
I know how busy you are and maybe you haven’t had a chance to actually listen to what they are saying so I am including a link here, although it may have been taken down by the time you get this. I would ask you, with the greatest respect, to please have a look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUE5EBPt-lU.
Thank you and sending you God’s richest blessings as you work for His glory
Thank you ☺️

This post is very misleading and very harmful in spreading misinformation. First, no vaccine has aborted fetal cells in it! The COVID vaccine does not inject you with “aborted fetal cells” and you should be ashamed as a professional for stating that here! The cells are used to make vaccines, but once the vaccine is made no cells are contained in the vaccine itself. Secondly, define what is meant by “early treatment?” My father was in a nursing home with a building full of nursing and doctors and DIED! Your comments are the reason why we can’t properly educate people about this virus and the vaccines. I hope you’re proud of yourself if you cost some their life for not being vaccinated when they could have been. Goodness gracious!

Hi Brie, I am really encouraged with the purity of your heart and thoughts. God bless you. Shalom.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. This blog post hits the nail on the head and I applaud you for saying it. I am so tired of fellow Christians constantly posting misinformation about Covid and vaccines. They take one vein of truth and then twist it to fit a false narrative and quite frankly, it’s shameful. And then they turn right around and encourage people to take a cow dewormer. Unbelievable and sad.
