If you’ve been a reader of mine for any significant length of time then you’ll know I’m not a product ambassador on this blog. I’m not the kinda gal who tries out health and beauty products and then gives my audience a review. I’m not downing people who do! That’s a much needed service, a referral if you will, and it comes in handy to the consumer. But there’s specific bloggers who do that sort of thing. And that’s not me. If you want product reviews or suggestions that’s where you go. If you want an honest place to find uplifting content for parenting and life problems, a shoulder to cry on, a friend to pray for you, relationship and marriage advice, and perhaps a chuckle or two then you come to me. I’m that friend who spills the beans on the mistakes I’ve learned from, that woman who helps you feel normal in your hot mess we all call life, and that voice of reason and encouragement when the world gets you down. That’s why you subscribe to Savor the Essence of Life.
Well, that’s not changing! But when I come across something I think is pretty cool I’m gonna tell you about it. That’s what friends are for. So if you’ll pull out a chair, sit down with me for a cup of coffee, and let me share about this new thing I tried, I’ll even pass along my discount to you.
It all started when a friend reached out to me. She’s forty like me, and she knew it was something I needed. She’s a mother like me, and realized it was something my daughters could benefit from also. She knew I was a nurse, so she knew I’d see the health advantages immediately.
She said, “hey, Brie. I’ve been using this new Calcium supplement, and I think you may be interested. You’ll be compensated for trying it and offering your honest feedback on it.”
Wait. A supplement? Sure, I need those, but I hate them. So I wasn’t really interested at first. But then she went on about how easy it was to take, how it was a flavorless powder I could mix in to anything, just once a day. My curiosity was piqued.
See, I have a sensitive stomach. I have a hard time with any kind of supplement or multivitamin. It can easily make me nauseated. So I have to find a formula that’s easy on my tummy and take it with a full stomach. Since I’m not a breakfast eater this means I leave the house not taking one, and by the time I do eat I’ve forgotten all my good intentions. I’m just no good at remembering this kind of thing if I don’t do it at the start of my day when I’m brushing my teeth at the medicine cabinet.
Sheesh. You can know what’s best for your body, but doing it’s another story. I’ve known for years I need to be on Calcium to combat osteoporosis. I’m thin, female, have a small bone structure, and now I’m middle aged. I’m like the poster child for who needs Calcium supplementation! So when my friend told me about this product that I could take easily I knew I should give it a try. I considered it a nudge from God. So I said sure, count me in.
When she said it was flavorless I figured it would have some sort of taste. I mean, it’s a powder. I imagined BC powder and grimaced, but when I tasted nothing I was pleasantly surprised. I tried it the first time in just plain tap water because I wanted to see just how “flavorless” it was! I couldn’t taste anything but water. It comes in single packets, pre-measured, so there’s none of the annoying scoops and spilled mess everywhere you sometimes see.
At this point my seven year old comes up and asks what I’m doing. After I explained it she asked if she could have some, and I happily obliged. It turns out one packet contains the daily allotted amount of Calcium her growing body needs too, and since she’s not big on dairy I figured she’s lacking just like myself.
What was her review?
“You’re right, Mom. I don’t taste anything!”
Even though we like ours in water, you can actually mix it in any drink, or even any food. Throw it in your yogurt, morning OJ, or even your spaghetti dinner. Just sprinkle in, stir, and enjoy your daily dose of Calcium. But the other cool part, to me anyway, is that it contains Vitamin D. For you non medical folks that’s much needed. You see, Vitamin D aids the absorption of Calcium in your body. Too little vitamin D results in soft bones in children (rickets) and fragile, misshapen bones in adults (osteomalacia). You also need vitamin D for other important body functions. In fact, Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to some forms of cancer, heart disease, and even depression. So it’s a win-win.
Here’s the deal. If you are like me and know you need Calcium, but you’ve had trouble fitting it into your day, then this is something you’ll wanna try. It’s so versatile and easily can be added into your daily diet. If you want to ensure your children get the Calcium they need then this is perfect. You can add it to anything and they’ll never even know. I’ve found it surprisingly easy to get into the habit of doing, and I thought I’d pass this along. I’ve been wanting to add Calcium forever, and Cal-EZ has lived up to its name. It’s easy, and that’s something this busy mom needs. There’s enough hard in life as it is.
If you’d like to try Cal-EZ from FitFormula Wellness then now is the perfect time. Thank you so much for sharing! I have been holding off on getting a calcium supplement because they are so huge! I bought some gummy ones at Costco but they were disgusting and I had to wonder if I was really getting anything out of it. I went ahead and ordered a box but I’m pretty sure I’ll be subscribing to have it delivered monthly as the price is reasonable. I turn 50 this month and I also have been on daily prednisone for 5 years now so I really need it!

That’s how I felt Nancy. I knew I needed it and hate those huge pills. Glad I could share this find with you.

Unfortunately I got behind on my reading and the coupon has expired. I’m saving the site and may try it anyway. I’m supposed to ne taking Ca but, like you, they bother my stomach. Have you had any stomach issues while taking this? Also, I don’t see the dosage amt. on the site. Whats the mgs. and how much Vit D does it contain? Thanks so much and thanks for this informative post.

No problem! I actually got the coupon code extended through 8/31 so you’re good! It’s got 1000 mg of Ca and 1000 iu of D. It hasn’t upset my stomach. I just make sure I take it after eating just in case.
